Pure Grenada partners with Honest Burgers to create limited edition Grenada-inspired burger
We’re delighted to have secured an exclusive partnership for our tourism board client, Pure Grenada, to launch a sizzling culinary campaign this summer.
Pure Grenada has teamed up with much-loved burger restaurant, Honest Burgers, to offer consumers a special taste of the Caribbean with the limited edition Caribbean Fried Chicken Special now available across the UK. Mixing the sun, sea and delicious dishes of the island to gain inspiration, this tasty burger infused with herbs and spices, takes Grenada’s place as a foodie destination to the next level.
Known as the Isle of Spice, Grenada is known for its high-quality aromatic spices such as nutmeg, cinnamon, and turmeric, and is also a producer of high-calibre rums.
Sizzling in the Spice Isle with the Caribbean Fried Chicken Special
The Caribbean Fried Chicken Special is a crowd-pleasing buttermilk fried burger. The chicken is drizzled with BBQ sauce mixed with spicy yellow scotch bonnet pepper sauce, as well as a garlic and herb mayonnaise that is filled with a plethora of Grenadian herbs. The fried chicken sits on a bed of Honest Burgers’ “Spice Isle” coleslaw, made up of white cabbage and buttermilk spiced with Grenada’s famous blend of nutmeg, cinnamon, clove, and turmeric.
The Caribbean Fried Chicken Burger is served with homemade rosemary salted chips and is available at all 43 Honest Burgers’ restaurants until 3rd July.

Adam Layton, Head of Food at Honest Burgers, said: “I had a great time eating, drinking, and dancing around Grenada. The locals are very friendly, and the foods are varied and delicious. So many treats to be had – if I had to recommend something it would be the crab backs at BB’s. I have a renewed faith in rum, which was an everyday ritual. We also picked up some of the local soca and jab jab carnival tunes so expect to hear them on rotation for the month across our restaurants.”
Petra Roach, CEO of The Grenada Tourism Authority added: “Food is a way of life here in Grenada, so it was a great pleasure to host Adam, and see him and the team completely immerse themselves in the Spice Isle. Our island has an incredible abundance of natural produce, and spices of course, so it’s fantastic to see how authentic flavours inspired Honest Burgers Caribbean Fried Chicken burger. The recipe is not only delicious, it’s also a beautiful reflection of our tri-island state.”
